Process
Inspiration
The design process for Casa Moderna was inspired by the intricate artistry of knitted chairs found throughout Bali, where similar wooden rattan materials take on entirely unique shapes.
Drawing from this, I incorporated handmade textured paper and woven threads into the branding to echo the craftsmanship and texture of these designs. This approach highlights the beauty of the handmade while adding a bold, modern touch.
Creating a system that works
Initially, the patterns felt unorganized, but as I developed a system, the process resulted endless creative possibilities. To further emphasize the artistry and craftsmanship, I chose handwritten typography, adding a personal and authentic touch to the visual identity. This approach celebrates the balance between structure and creativity, perfectly mirroring the spirit of Casa Moderna Expo.
Work
This approach highlights the beauty of the handmade while adding a bold, modern touch. By blending timeless techniques with clean design, we crafted a visual identity that showcases the connection between craftsmanship and innovation.
